Thinking of bringing your dog on your vanlife adventure?
Many of our campervans are pet friendly so you can bring your dogs on holiday with you!
We have listed below some useful considerations that you might want to consider to ensure your furry friend has an enjoyable trip too:
Climate control - Ensure there is good ventilation in your van. All our vans have a rooflight or roof fan, or both, which create a nice air flow and are less of a security risk than leaving a window open. There will also be a curtain between the cab and the living space, ensure this is closed in warmer weather to keep the back cool
Secured for driving - It is a legal requirement in the UK that dogs are secured in the vehicle when driving. We have found the seat bases a good point to fasten onto as it is strong, ensures our dog is out of the foot-wells and still close-by
Travel abroad - Depending where you go, there are different regulations. It is best to speak with a vet for the most up-to-date advice, especially due to Brexit. To take pets into Europe, currently you need a pet passport and to see a vet before you reenter the UK if you have been away for more than 5 days. Check the latest requirements before you travel
